Paul
B. Hall Regional Medical Center is a 72-bed primary
care hospital which, in 1996, 1999 and again in
2002, earned Accreditation With Commendation from
the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations. We are located in the lush rolling
hills of Eastern Kentucky where we serve a
population base of more than 45,000 people from five
counties. Our hospital includes Medical/Pediatrics,
Medical/Surgical and Special Care Units, along with
OB/GYN, Surgery, Emergency Services, Radiology,
Cardiology Lab, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy,
Physical Therapy and Laboratory Departments, with
In-Patient and Out-Patient services. Our modern
facility, constructed in 1983 and expanded in 1994,
continues an 80-year tradition of quality health
care begun in 1920 by our predecessor, Paintsville
Hospital. Recent additions of Bone Densitometry and
Neurological Radiology have added significantly to
the diagnostic capabilities available to our
patients and physicians which include he most
advanced LightSpeed VCT CAT scans, MRI, mammography,
brain and heart SPECT imaging, tomography,
sonography and arthrograms. Paul B. Hall's Emergency
Services Department has physicians on duty 24 hours
a day. Medical specialties among our staff
physicians include Anesthesiology, General Surgery,
Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiology,
Pulmonology, Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmic Surgery,
Neurology, Radiology, Internal Medicine,
Gastroenterology and Urology, as well as Family
Practice and General Medicine.
Paul B. Hall's Wound Healing Center features
a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. You will find that our
professional staff is trained to provide a
specialized, comprehensive course of medical
treatment and specialized therapy to assist in the
healing process which can be especially helpful to
diabetics with difficult-to-heal open wounds.
Additionally, sleep disorders are among the most
annoying and, occasionally, life-threatening medical
problems our patients face. Paul B. Hall’s Sleep
Center offers the professional services of a
