Scott Mullins, Assistant Laboratory Director at Paul B. Hall spoke with the AHS 105 Introduction to Health Occupations students this week concerning MT, MLT, and phlebotomy careers.
This course, currently being taught on the Prestonsburg Campus of Big Sandy Community & Technical College, allows students interested in allied health careers to attain basic health care skills (such as learning to measure vital signs) and knowledge, plus explore various career options. Scott provided the students an overview of the nature of each job within his area, the education required, job availability, and average pay scale.
"He did a wonderful job and made the career sound so very interesting"
Missy Skeens, RRT-NPS, RPFT, Respiratory Care Program Director/Associate Professor of Respiratory Care, speaking of Mr. Mullins, "many thanks to the wonderful staff members at Paul B. Hall who support our allied health students. Without these educational colleagues our programs would have great difficulty thriving."
