Karen McDowell of Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center was named “Associate of the Year” by Health Management Associates

Exclusive award given to proven leaders exemplifying commitment and teamwork

Paintsville, KY- Karen McDowell was one of five associates to share the coveted title “Associate of the Year” at Health Management Associates.  She was also named “Associate of the Year” at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, and was then nominated by Deborah Trimble, CEO and chosen out of 32,000 associates to receive this prestigious award from the hospital’s parent company.

”Karen McDowell is dedicated to serving patients and going that extra mile to ensure that everyone who visits our hospital receives quality and compassionate care. Karen truly lives up to the ideals and mission of our hospital and Health Management Associates. I am proud that she was honored in such a public manner,” said Deborah Trimble, CEO.

Winners of the “Associate of the Year” award were recognized at a company meeting in Orlando last Friday.  Other categories receiving recognition included “Director, and Nurse of the Year.”  Each winner was nominated by the CEO of their local hospital and ultimately shares the good traits that Health Management Associates works hard to foster through its culture.

Karen is currently the Accounts Payable Clerk and has been employed by Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center for 23 years.  She resides in Blaine with her husband of twenty-five years, she also has two children.
